I have a Ford Escort and after driving for a while the lights radio and wipers bog down and stop then the engine shudders and dies and wont restart but if you let it sit for a couple of min. it will start up but will then quickly die. I have already check all the fuses.

i would start with a charging system check. it sounds like low voltage from a bad alternator. get a shop to confirm with a voltage check.
