starting Ford escape

Ford escape wont start, fuel pump cut off switch may have been activated after running off road. How do you reset the switch. 2002 Ford escape.

Remove the passenger-side kick-panel.
1 Remove the pin-type retainers.
2 Remove the nut.
3 Remove the kick-panel.

You'll see the Inertia Fuel Shutoff (IFS) switch. Reset it by pressing in on the plugged on top.
