I have a 2002 Ranger Edge, when I start it up and the engine is cold, the engine produces a squealing noise, when the engine is warmed up the noise subsides some and the engine will cut out periodically but restart right away. I just put on a new engine belt but the noise is still present.

it cold be an alternator bearing or a pulley/tensioner bearing going bad. It needs tobe physically heard. You can disconnect the beltand start it up andsee if the noise is still there thatwould eliminate all the pulleys, etc.
