my car is making a loud tapping noise. lastnight the oil level went all the way down and the car started making the tapping noise really loud after a few mins the car started scaretching and shut off. About 30 mins later the car would start again, but i was scared to drive it.

if you mean the oil level didn't register on the dipstick then it's probably a good indication that you burnt the motor up. If the noise is on the top it may be a lifter getting loud from low oil. itmight go away. if your oil light is on or pressurevery low like under 10psi then shut it off and take itto apro.
