My fiat Punto Misfires and Hops.

Hi, My fiat punto 2002 1.2 car i just bought, i serviced her and got her some new brakes. The garage said she's basically like new however she keeps misfiring and hopping if i dont have her in a high gear, it's like she needs a certain amount of revs. Its even worse when she's cold. Please help! Im only young and need my car for work!

start with a compression test. check the plugs, wires and coil as well. somewhere in there will be a failure.
