Engine needs to be replaced, how would I go about doing this?

What's wrong with the old engine?

Started makeing strange noise n also started to loose power, noise appeared everytime put foot on accelerator, got someone to have a look at it it n he said i would need a new engine, positive he mentioned piston.

Just just get a short block then put on the upper part of the old engine to the new one
