We bought this SUV from a dealership with 102,000 miles on it. It has been great but maybe once every five starts, it will crank for a few seconds before starting. It hasn't outright failed to start yet but it is concerning. The dealership put in a new starter and a new battery but problem persisted. Is this a normal problem? Possible foreshadowing of issues to come? Thank you!

Just to chime back in on this one, It ended up leaving us abandoned on the side of a highway. We had to have the Fuel Pump replaced. It had this problem the day we bought it but the dealer didn't care one bit. Fuel Pump was failing and finally keeled over. That was a nice addition to the price tag. This car is one of the only times I have deviated from Toyota Products. It is lucky it is such a smooth and nice ride! But I am pretty soured on this car from a reliability standpoint.

Sorry it left you on the side of the road, and sorry the dealer wasn't a lot better. These days finding a good reliable car is getting to be a real difficult thing as they all seem to have the same attitude about quality. Dealers are even worse.
Not sure it would do any good but you might want to call Cadillac customer service about it. Inform them the issue was there and what the dealer did and didn't do and see what they say. Especially if this was one of the certified pre-owned vehicles.
