My gas gage quit working and my fuel light comes on. I performed a test using the ignition and trip mileage
button and it did what it was supposed to and went back to "E" when I was done. I looked at me fuses and do not see one specific for the fuel gage. The truck runs great, so what should I check now?

Most likely the rheostat on the pump is bad an not sending a signal. You really need to start there to see if there are any wiring issues first then check the rheostat. The bad thing is the rheostat for the float is part of the fuel pump.
