I can't seem to locate where the noise is coming from

2002 dodge intrepid I hear a knock when I come to a stop, sounds like front caliper but nothing wrong with calipers and sometimes It sound like it's coming from the middle of the car by the Universal joint...Does anyone have a thought on what it could be?, what to do?

have your front suspension checked by a qualified mechanic as well as the axle shafts.
