Today I was driving to work and my battery light came on, so I kept driving a mile or 2 down the road I noticed that my radio shut off and my lights were all becoming dim then the car was not shifting into higher gears it was just making high rpm? So I got to work driving slow I backed in my spot and shut the car off and tried restart it and it just clicked the battery is dead?

Probably dead, try to charge it up to get back home or to a repair shop, soundslike your alternator is bad or the charging system isn't charging.

I appreciate it. I have the car here with me at work, I started it up after not touching it for hours and it ran good I moved it to near my building and shut it off 20 min later I tried again and battery was dead again this time I have it on charge. So my beat bet is to change alternator?

Okay thank you, I'll do that and then go from there.
I drove it home from work after taking it off charge it seemed fine it shifted and then it stopped shifting and lights on dash started flashing got about 8 miles and it died
I jumped it and then I got another mile into my driveway and it died again
