fuel filter location?

on top of fuel tank it is part of regulator there are three different ones. Here is a diagram below and a guide to help walk you through the repair.

My truck ran out of fuel and I cannot get it to start. I have put gas in the gas tank. I cannot locate the fuel filter. The owner manual advises not to push it to start it. Can you advisr me of the location of the fuel filter?. Thanks

Might be wrong , but almost positive that it is part of the fuelpump/sending unit assy. It may also set on top of the assy, and be replaceable. IF it is that one, it may be incorporated into the fuel pressure regulator.

where is the fuel filter located

the fuel filter is located inside the tank.... the filter is also attached to the fuel pressure regulator... it requires the entire pump assembly to be replaced..

A combination fuel filter and fuel pressure regulator is located on the top of the fuel pump module.

how many fuel filters are there and where are they located

My info shows it's part of the fuel pump module.

where is the fuel filter located on my truck...the haynes manual says it is on top of my gas tank...but the part we have doesnt look like the part in the manual and we cant find anything that looks like it...could there be that part up there or do we not have the right part....thanks guys

you have to drop down the tank

It's on top of the fuel pump/sending unit module. The filter is part of the regulator.

where and how do i change my fuel filter on my 2000 dodge dakota club cab. it has a 2.5 L4 motor.

it is in gas tank.

Fuel pump might be in the tank but nobody should be stupid enough to design a FILTER for the tank. Follow the line from the tank, it will be easy to trace.

I was wondering where the fuel filter is? and if it is easy to fix myself?

Hello, the filter/regulator shows to be an assembly on top of the fuel pump module in the gas tank. I looked at a couple of online partsbooks, they didn't show a filter/regulator assembly separate from the pump module. You might talk to your local partsdealer.

If you have to remove the pump module, you may have to drain and lower the tank.
