my brake and abs light is on.

i have a 2002 dodge dakota. my brake and abs light is on. it goes off when i add brake fluid. also when the lights is on the brakes is soft to push but the gas is hard

I'm not a car expert at all. Im just trying to get an ideal so I can I find out if it's covered under the extended warranty

Black front rims indicates the possibility of brakes dragging or quality of pads used.

Regular topping up of fluids means there is a leakage somewhere and it could be anything from a bad master cylinder to a ABS modulator. You would need to find out the cause to know if it is under extended warranty.
