I have damaged the radiator and the oil cooler in front of the radiator. My question is, do I need a oil cooler in my truck or is it just for A/C?

Good afternoon,

Yes, you need an oil cooler. Oil temperatures can get high in hot weather and under loads. If the oil temperature is not controlled, the overheated oil produces sludge which is the kiss of death for any engine.

Yes, replace the oil cooler and protect your motor.
