What steps do I take to change the brake pads on a 2002 dodge van with abs brakes?

You need to remove the wheel, unbolt the caliper from the spindle and remove the caliper. You then can remove the rotor for re surfacing or replacement. Before installing, you need to compress the piston all the way back into the caliper before installing the pads on the rotor.

After installation, make sure you pump the brakes before driving so that the piston can set back into place, if not it may cause a problem on your first stop
