High water temperature

My daughter has a 2002 Chrysler Sebring and she said the water temperature gage goes to high when she turn on the heater for around of 20 minutes.

funny,it should be the opposite since the heater EXTRACTS heat from the cooling system. is the heater blowing hot air all the time when it's on? check the antifreeze level in the system make sure it's full.
