cruise control stopped working on a 2002 chevy tahoe,what could be the cause?

while driving had to disengage cruise to go around another vechicle once i passed tried to reengage but it didn't work. I made sure that the cruise was on but no response.

check fuses under dash as well as relay underhood, other than that have apro look at it because it could be a bunch of things.
