Problem is my truck surges and then the temp gauge drops to 160 and then goes back up. Had 2 sender's changed but didn't help. Any thing I'm missing to look at

Ok, first I would change the thermostat and see if that stabalizes the temp.

Are there any codes and did this overheat at any time?
