Why might the change engine oil light come on for about 15 seconds when I start up my truck?

I just changed the oil about 1,000 miles ago, but the change engine oil light started coming on the last few days when I start my truck. It goes off after about 15 seconds. Sometimes it will seem a little jittery in those first 15 seconds or so. Why might the light be coming on other than just needing to change the oil?

Did you re st the light when you changed it? If not, then with the key on, engine off, depress the gas pedal to the floor 3 times in 5 seconds and wait for the light to go out. It is then re set.
