Scan the PCM/TCM for code/s-possibilities here could be the transfer case shift control module, transfer encoder motor and the transfer case encoder-also see transfer case diagnostic system check below

Ok, I have a Code Buddy CAN OBDII Code Reader 901ES (I know it's cheap). When plugged inthe tool doesn't comunicate w/ the CAT, HCM, EVAP,2AIR or theA/C. Why? This Vehicle has been involved in an odometer rollback scam so I know the computer has been tampered with. However I don't know if the lack of comunication is due to the tampering or my cheap code reader. The Vehicle has been into 2 dealerships since I've owned it & neither one caught the odometer tampering. It VIN# will help it is 1GCHK29U02E231162

C0226 ABS Left front speed sensor missing. Would this cause problem. O'Reilley's/Shucks Auto parts store has a fee of $10 to access some parts of their loaner Code Reader. Does anyone know what it accesses for the 10 bucks? My Vehicle has to cycle before I can go any further lol.
