Tail lights (red) stay on all the time

stop light stays on (tail lights) even when my chevy s10 is turned off. I pulled the fuse to save battery but need to re-insert the fuse otherwise, no brake lights will work when driving the truck.

Check that the brake light switch at the top of the brake pedal under the dash is working, it may be faulty, or out of adjustment and stuck on.
