2002 Chevrolet S-10 Oil leak

In the past 4 months I've put 20000 miles on this Chevy s 10 drive it every day about 50 miles a day it's recently started leaking oil like a lot right from the center of the engine it appears ?? Why could this be happening ?? Could it be due to the amount of driving wear n taire??

The amount of driving has nothing to do with the problem. Is the leak from the top of the engine or down low? Have you checked the simple things like the oil filter, drain plug, valve cover gasket, head gasket...?
