Hav a 02 Monte carlo even on full tank of gas the gauge eather says empty or full it dose not give a true reading what is most likely the problom an fix thx u 4 your time

check for blinking or low voltage at sender, if you ground wire out it should make gauge go to full, if it does then it may be a bad sender if not a gauge

U mean ground at the battery terminal. Right?

no you ground the wire going to sending unit it's the purple wire by tank
