2002 Chevy Malibu. V6. 155k miles. Once up to speed it drives ok but it goes 0-60 in about 2days. Then when we approached a steep hill, it geared down & went to about 3500 rpm and we still barely made it up the hill. I thought I was going to have to get out & push. Please advise.

When the car is stopped/off and in neutral, can you push it easily?

Yes it revs up quickly & fully. No misses or hesitations.
