Can I change the VIN number in SDM computer I had a bad BCM went to a junkyard and got a new PCM BCM radio everything works good but I need to change the van in the SDM because it says it will not read I havecode b 1001 can I put the vin from the other two computers into the SDM that's what I want to know because I know I cannot change the vin in the BCM

So you have a option configure error ode in the SDM?With that code you need to have the computer reflashed with a gm service stall.I have seen that code when changing sdms.I ended up reflashing the bcm with a new calibration file to correct it.
