I have a 2002 Chevy Impala with 79.000 miles on it... my low coolant light is on and stays on after I have checked and added coolant... also my car is overheating and I have a leak fixed, had replaced the water pump and thermostat so why is it still overheating?

My low coolant light comes on and my car is heating up even after taking care of a leak in the intake manifold, ... what could be causing it to do this?

Blown head gasket for one, do a block test, the kits are available at most parts stores.
