Intermittent ABS light coming on. Retrieved abs code B1218. What should I concentrate on to remedy this problem? The ground strap for the ABS pump appears to be in good shape.

It means the pump motor in the abs unit is shorted out your abs needs to be replaced. They can be rebuilt.
