bad battery? in Chevy Express van

Have a 2002 Chevy Express Van 3500. When I try to start, I just get a clicking noise. Does that sound like aa bad battery or alternator or something else?

Battery, especially if original.

Thanks, I am going to take it in and have the battery tested and replaced if needed. We did get it jumped, but my sister requires that the van be functional and reliable because she has 9 kids that all need to go in different directions, daily!
