You SHOULD NOT have to discharge the system.

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

1. Disconnect the electrical connection from the sensor.

IMPORTANT: The sensor is mounted on a service fining. Do not discharge the system.

2. Remove the A/C refrigerant pressure sensor. Discard the O-ring seal.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

1. Lubricate the new O-ring seal in clean 525 viscosity refrigerant oil.
2. Install the new O-ring seal.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the A/C refrigerant pressure sensor.

Tighten
Tighten the sensor to 5 N.M (44 lb in ).

4. Connect the electrical connection to the sensor.
