Does anyone know how to reset a TheftLock radio once it has been removed? I want to try my Sony radio, but I don't want to have to go to a dealer to have it reset. I'm sure if I keep juice to it, this would probably work, but I'd rather not take the chance with this method.
Thanks

1 Turn off the ignition and make sure the car is in park.

2 Open the hood and disconnect the car battery. Use a socket wrench to loosen the nut on the negative terminal first, then pull the connector off. Use the wrench to then loosen the nut on the positive terminal and pull it off.

3 Wait 30 minutes then reconnect the battery. Tighten the bolt on the positive terminal first, then connect the negative terminal again.

4 Turn on the car ignition so that the internal power is working. Turn on your radio and you will see a "LOC" message displayed. Enter in the four-digit code to unlock the radio. This number is in your User's Manual if you have forgotten. If you do not know the code, take the car to the dealership. If the radio model is a newer version that is linked to the VIN number, there is no code to enter. You must take it to the dealership, where a technician uses a scanner tool to unlock the radio.

All is not lost. You can go to the dealer with proof that you own the vehicle and they can help you reset the radio.
