2002 Chevrolet Cavalier Bought This Car Used Weeks Ago Now Having Little

i bought this car used a few weeks ago and now im having a little trouble. sometimes when i turn on the car and move the steering column and then turn on the headlights the headlights will go crazy blinking and if you move the switch to get the windshield wipers on they wont come on and that switch will also make the headlights go crazy. this all happens at the same time. someone please help.
