The dash seatbelt light comes on at times and the chimes no longer work on my 2002 chevy blazer

It could be a fault with the seat belt buckle switch causing the light to turn on.
As to the chime, it could be a bad door switch or Body Control Module or wiring fault. A scan tool might be able to help you diagnose the problem.

The common cause for this that I have seen is the connector under the seat that connects the buckle switch to the vehicle harness. The wires break off about 1/2" up from the connector due to the way the seat moves. They are a PIA to replace with the seat in place as well.
