was there a recall ?

Replaced fuel pump on 5.3 lt ,4 times in a year and half . Trying figure out was there a recall for this particular truck and if not what could it be ?

Fuel pump keeps going is there particular reason for this and why

Make sure the fuel pressure regulator is good. Other than that, you may be getting a poorly built pump if it is aftermarket.

Fuel pump failure is not a reason that would ever trigger a recall because it doesn't qualify under recall guidelines. GM trucks have had a know problem for years with the contacts at the fuel pump plug not being tight enough. Most pumps come with a different type pigtail now. I would also agree that it likely has a lot to do with the quality of the pumps you are using.
