No pressure from fuel pump

I have a 2002 chevy avalanche z71. I just lost the fuel pump. I was wondering do I need to replace the entire fuel pump assembly or can u just buy the fuel pump motor and replace

Need new fuel pump assembly or just replace fuel pump motor?

There are so many different pumps. OEM pumps come as one unit, Some are available as just a pump that you can install with your assembly. Others, require that you replace the entire assembly.
