we own a 2002 chevy avalanche, the warning lights will randomly begin to flash(low fuel, low battery, abs, air bag, check four wheel drive). the fuel,and temp gauges will also zero out. we have also noticed a short in the tbc fuse that will kill the battery

Chevy's in this year are famous for failed instrument clusters. Unfortunately, it is nearly impossible to diagnose without special tools. I would take it to a local automotive electrical shop for diagnostic.
