My 4x4 wheel drive light is coming on? How much will it cost to get repaired if thats it

Make sure you are not in 4wd. If it is, it will damage the system. Next, check wiring at actuator on the transfer case. Make sure nothing is shorting. There is a relay between the switch and the actuator. Check it too. Last is the switch itself.
