I have a 2002 Suburban and it won't start. It takes a jump and cranks but won't start? I've jumped it in the past and been able to start now it won't.

Make sure battery has a full charge and connections are good. Will it crank without a jump, cranking is starter action.

Some of the national brand autostores will test the battery for you and charge it, where necessary. If you have a digital multimeter, place leads across the battery posts, everything off. A reading of 12.6 volts is a generic spec for a full charge. Leave the leads hooked up, have helper turn key to crank, how much does the voltage drop? Some specs say voltage shouldn't drop below 9.5 volts. Others say 10 volts, in that general area.
