2002 Chevy Truck repair

Recently replaced the alternator, now have a roarin sound, like big tires on the road. So now do I need to replace idler pulley bearing on 2002 chevy silverado? Thx, kathy j

Kathy:
If the sound wasn't there before you replaced the alt, chances are you got a bad alternator. Remove the belt and spin the pullies to see if you can duplicate the noise.
