how do I test for no start/starts runs rough and dies ?

Hi guys! My escalade died on the way home. I ran the battery down trying to restart, towed home and charged up, it started a couple times sputtered and died, ran fine with gas at about 2000-3000 rpm, dies out at idle. Now wont start at all just cranks.

Check the fuel pressure with a gauge, injector/s pulses and for spark
