transmission problem

drove for about 15 miles today ran fine went to turn around put in reverse trans stopped working shut car off restarted trans worked .also about 2 months ago trans was sticking in low gear when i pulled out then it just went away trans fluid is full no warning lights are comming on

Some trouble codes do not trigger the MIL. I would suggest getting a scan done to check for trouble codes. Symptoms indicates the transmission control has a fault and it could be the solenoids or valve body..
