I was changing the brakes on my car and something really weird that I've never seen before happened. I'll add pictures. On my front passenger side wheel, my tire won't go all the way on. The lug nut studs will go through, just not far enough. The other 3 wheels everything went smoothly. I had to redo the brakes on that wheel like 3 different times but nothing worked. I even put on the old rotor and pads to see if that would make it normal again. That didn't work either. I'm truly at a loss here, and I don't want to take it to a shop unless absolutely necessary.

Can you see what the wheel is hitting?

I would assume it has to be the caliper and that would have to be a problem with mounting the caliper.

I don't know if the pictures went through, so I'll repost them. Anyway, all bolts are in their place and the caliper is sitting where it needs to be.

What is the wheel making contact with?

I don't think anything. I can get the head of a screwdriver between the rim and the caliper. It just won't go back on the hub far enough.

Originally when I was changing the brakes, the new rotor I put on was a little wobbly from top to bottom. I figured once I put the caliper & tire back on it would straighten out. Could that be a problem?

You really need to get this to a shop. It's too dangerous to be experimenting with brakes. Someone with experience has to inspect this.
