When I first start the car I put it in reverse steering wheel locks but unlocks when I take my foot off the brake

Steering is always easier when the car is rolling. Your power steering pump may be getting weak and the lower RPM doesn't have as much assist. It's pretty hard to judge on someone's description. You should have a professional look at it and give you his opinion of how serious the problem is.
