Strut Rod broken off

Rod that connects to wheel hub on 2002 buick century has broke in the rear does tryn to replace part but dont know what the pole is call, car has been making noise and tire wiggles as if it is about to come off

Looks like it could be the lateral link the tube that goes between the two mounting point is round correct?

That is the rear trailing arm.

It is not difficult to replace it. You only need to jack up vehicle and put it on stand and remove the bolts holding the arm.
