Car won't start in cold weather

In cold weather below 45f the can wont fire up in the mornings it takes several cranks to fire it up i then smell gas but once its warm it stats fine. In the summer it can set for days and fire right up. I have replaced the fule filter. What other suggestions do you have.

Check and test the coolant temperature sensor, Idle air control valve and also check the fuel pressure
