2002 Bmw 325i Model Moving Toronto Calgary Incidently Red Battery Light Comes

I have a bmw 325i 2002 model, i was moving from Toronto to Calgary. incidently a red battery light comes on in half the way.... we stay in hotel at night and when we try to start it again, it won't let me do this and all the emergendy lights like seat belt light, air bag light and battery low light ... i try to do this by using booster and the engine get started. but in couple of minutes the engine stops again. I boost the battery agian and the engine starts working but agian car stops..... what could be the reason and solution
