hi i have a bmw 318i year2002 the rear offside indicator some times works at the correct speed and sometimes goes at double the speed when double the speed it doesnt work sometimes a slap inside the boot will correct it.

The issue can be resolved with the replacement of the bulb, there may also be some corrosion at the brown wire in the electrical connector, pop it loose and inspect it closely, let me know if you see anything because I know a groovy little trick to fix it that can save you some bucks.

hi the bulb is ok and i have'nt seen any corrosion anywhere.

Is the bulb new? Is it a silver base type bulb that BMW uses? If it is a brass base bulb then replace it with a silver base one, the brass base ones will sometimes do that.
