I have a BMW 318 Ci 2002. After the recent cold weather spell my clutch pedal wont engage ? Is this due to the temperature or am I going to need a replacement ?

I tried the following last night. Heating the car and engine up for approx 1.5 hrs . Got a lot more give from the clutch pedal but it still doesn't feel as if anything is happening. I can now get the pedal to the floor of the car but it takes a good bit of effort. Pedal pressure feels slightly 'floppy' until i try to get it to the floor then it becomes difficult to hold. Pedal returns to normal when i take my foot off.

Any fluid loss? try a re bleed as well, we need to prove the hydraulics are sound first.
