ive noticed a creamy substance on dipstick when checking oil levels in my 2002 316 compact bmw, is this cause for concern?

It might be caused by coolant in the oil.

there is not any sign of creamy substance in engine oil tank or on cap, only a few spots on dipstick, the car is running fine with no overheating or cutting out, do i have urgent cause for concern??

Thank you for the clarity!! There is condensation when a cold surface is exposed to water vapor, that is what you are seeing, just a bit of normal condensation. No worries!
