Audi A4 T1.8 Quattro 2002, my electrical system works fine and when I turn on the radio everything works but the sound or static just plain no sound, same for CD, and tape player. I Changed fuse but it didnt do anything. The radio is a Bose and it came with the car.

Check the fuse for the radio Amp, it is #39 30Amp fuse, if this is OK, I feel that it will be the Amp itself that has failed.

OK, my database shows a 30Amp fuse thats all, if the amp is powering up, and the radio is turning on, I would say that the amp is faulty, also do you have a antenna or a integral screen mounted antenna?

I think it is an integral screen mounted antenna. But if it was the antenna why wouldnt the CD or tape player work either. Would it be bad for me to try a 30 Amp even though mine is a 20Amp.

OK, if no sound in the tape or CD it more than likely will be a failed amp, if the 20 Amp fuse is OK, a 30Amp will not make any difference.

What I am saying is that placing a 30 Amp fuse in if the 20 is not blown it will not make it work, but running a 30 Amp fuse if there is a problem can cause the circuit to over heat, do not fit the 30 Amp if the 20 has not blown.

Um still didnt work, I dont know if it helps but it is sort of intermittent. Most of the time there is no sound but once in a while I can get the sound to some out, and when it does it stays on for a while but usually wont work when I restart the car. I think its a wire issue and I just need to get a new radio, thanks for the help thou.

Make sure power is getting to the radio. Check the fuse. If ell is good, you will need to have it checked by stereo shop.
