Not starting?

Hello I have alpha Romeo 147 2003 while I go to set before sometimes while turning the starter does not pass. sometimes spend as if nothing happens, EXAMPLE if I put far ahead can take immediately .. by turning the ignition k does not pass ... what could be wrong;; THANKS a lot :)

I am having problem understanding your question. If you mean turning the ignition key to the furthest point have a better chance of cranking the starter, that would mean the ignition switch is bad.
