I a 2002 Acura 3.5 RL (172,000 mi) w/ new struts, shocks, VSA assembly, and rebuilt rack and pinion. Periodically on a hard right or left turn, there is a clunk/grind noise and a friend told me had similar problem which turned out to be brake calipers. Is this worth considering as a solution?

have it checked out for control arm bushings or it can be the stops just hitting against where it is supposed to.
